• Community Service Opportunities

Please check my bullitin board with the most up to date opportunities for community service.

Since we are not currently in school, I will post all NEW opportunities here.

    • We are having a take out only turkey dinner, curb service on Nov 14th.  After reading your note I spoke with the chairs of the meal.  They said they would welcome student help.  Hours would be 2 to 7.  They could help pack the meal, deliver to car and help with clean up.   They're asking for 4 to 6 students, masks of course.  They do have gloves in the kitchen.  Thanking you in advance....Lynne

    •  Hope all is well with you.  I just heard of some projects your students might be interested in.  The local cemetery has some clean up to be done. And needs to be done soon before winter sets in.  Contact Bud Hill at (cell)  914 388 1019.  Home 518 398 7170.  Cell is best number to call....

    • As you may have heard, we are doing a socially distanced version of our cemetery tour on Friday, Oct 30th. We need two volunteers to be parking guides, and I was wondering if you could pass that info along to your students who may need volunteer hours. They can e-mail Beth McLiverty if interested at mclivert@mac.com. Let me know if you need any other info.

    • My name is Elizabeth Coletti & I am the co president
for the PPEPTA along with Chelsea Grim. The Pta is hosting a “boo thru” this Friday @ 5pm at Seymour Smith and next Friday, same time at Cold Spring. I know in the past high school students paraded the halls of both schools in costume and we would love to give them the opportunity to dress up and volunteer at these events! I am not sure who to contact— but if you could forward the information to the proper person we would greatly appreciate it!
They can contact us via email anytime or call me at 845-416-2537 or pineplainselementarypta@yahoo.com
